Funeral services for Paul A. Rowe, 69, were held on Thursday, April 5, 1984 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids. Graveside services were held on Thursday at the Osage cemetery. Military services were provided by the Osage American Legion Post No. 278.
Mr. Rowe died on Monday, April 2, 1984 at St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Radpis following a sudden illness.
Paul A. Rowe was born October 3, 1914 at Floyd(?), the son of Ray and Tena Nelson Rowe. He attended the Osage schools and lived in the Osage area until entering the Army during World War II. He was united in marriage to Kathleen C. Bower(?) on May 27, 1945, at the Methodist Church in Osage.
A Cedar Rapids resident for 39 years, he was a jewelry repairman for Schaefer Jewelry and later a machinist for D.W. Products for 20 years prior to retirement. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Cedar Rapids, Disabled American Veterans Association and the Osage American Legion Post No. 278.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; one daughter, Ruth Ann McCormick of Aurora, Colorado, a son, Robert Paul of McGregor; one sister, Marvel Kubicek of Osage; two brothers, Lester of Osage and Alan of Silverdale, Washington; and four grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Clyde and Earl.
