Jessie R. Hastings, 81, of Osage, Iowa, died on Wednesday, April 4, 1984, at the White House Nursing Home, of heart failure. Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 7, 1984, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Des Moines. Rev. K. Knaak, pastor of Brethern and Christ Church of Des Moines and Marty Lamb, Faith Chapel of Osage, officiated at the service. Burial was in the Highland Memory Gardens in Des Moines.

Jessie was born June 7, 1902 in Riverside, California, the daughter of William and Alice Johnson.

She is survived by three daughters: Rose H. Wilson of Cedar Falls, Mrs. George (Arlene) Stang of Osage, and Rita Oline of Des Moines; one son, Paul M. Hastings of LaJolla, Calif.; nine grandchildren, and there great-grandchildren.
