Albert Johannes Anderson was born September 2, 1879 at Cedar township (or possibly Osage), Mitchell County, Iowa to Carl F. Anderson (June 21, 1854 Norway, died March 16, 1943 Grafton, Walsh, North Dakota) and Bertha A. Syse (born May 17, 1857 Dane, Wisconsin, died September 24, 1938 Grafton, Walsh, N.Dakota).
Albert was the oldest of 10 children; his siblings were: Oscar Martinius, Martin K., Emil, Maria, Ida Caroline, Clara B., Emma Josephine, Lydia and Evelynn O.
Albert was baptized at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa on October 12, 1879. His baptismal sponsors were: Carl J. Olsen, Ole Torblaa, Marte Mikkelsen and Brita Nelson.
Albert moved with his parents to Grafton, Walsh, N.D. about 1880. Found in the 1900 census living at Grafton, Walsh, North Dakota: Carl Anderson 47, Brita Anderson 45, Albert J. Anderson 20, Oscar M. Anderson 18, Martin K. Anderson 16, Maria Anderson 10, Ida K. Anderson 8, Clara B, Anderson 6, Emma J, Anderson 4, Ly Da A. Anderson 3.

Albert Anderson died in August 1969, at Grafton, Walsh, North Dakota.
