W. Bigelow HomeMrs. Deborah Dowd passed away at the William Bigelow home Thursday evening at 11:30 o'clock, there she had been cared for the past months. Mrs. Dowd had been in poor health for several years, but remained in her own home as long as she was able to do so.
A month ago she suffered a stroke of paralysis, and has been failing steadily since.
Mrs. Dowd was born in Madison, Wisconsin, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Morrissey. The family moved to Mitchell county, Iowa, when she was three weeks old, and this has been her home all of her life.
She was married to Martin Dowd, who passed away three months later.
Affectionately known as Debbie, Mrs. Dowd will be remembered as a kindly woman of the highest character.
Surviving are her sisters and brothers, as follows: Mrs. ___ McSweeney, Sr., Mrs. William Titus, Van Noes, Calif, Tom and. . . .
