Died at her home one mile west of Riceville, Thursday, Dec. 2nd, 1897, Mrs. D. Schoonmaker, after an illness of many months.

She has been for many years a resident of Mitchell county and leaves a large circle of loving friends and relatives to mourn her loss.

The funeral services were held in the M. E. church Saturday afternoon at two o'clock conducted by Rev. Dwello, assisted by Rev. Pierce. The family have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their sad bereavement.

Wm. Schoonmaker and family came up from Westgate Friday afternoon to attend the funeral service of Mrs. Schoonmaker. They remained over the Sabbath.

Roy Seeley came over from Osage to be present at the funeral, returning Saturday evening.

We are sorry to note the death of Mrs. Daniel Schoonmaker, another of the old settlers gone.
