Death of William J. Sanborn

Saturday Afternoon

William James Sanborn was born in Wilmington, Illinois, August 7, 1868, and died at his home in Osage, Iowa, June 24, 1926, age 57 years. The funeral services were held at the Gallup & Shelledy funeral parlors Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. J. N Byerly of the Congregational church officiating. Burial was in the local cemetery.

Mr. Sanborn had been a patient sufferer for some months from that dread disease cancer, and death came to him as a welcome relief. He had been a resident of this state the past thirty-five years and during that time had made a large circle of friends who will miss his presence.
He was a hard and conscientious worker and a good provider for his family.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lillie Bauman-Sanborn, whom he married November 20, 1917; her daughter, Wanda Orr, and also two daughters of his own by a former marriage, Verna and Helen Sanborn, residing in North Dakota.
