HAIGH FUNERAL SERVICE CONDUCTED IN RICEVILLE

Riceville – Funeral services for Samuel Haigh, 80, were conducted Tuesday and burial was in Riverside Cemetery.

One step sister, Mrs. Clark of St. Paul, is the only remaining member of the family of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Haigh, which consisted of four daughters and two sons.

Mr. Haigh had long been a member of this community and was well known.

Samuel was born July 1856 in Wisconsin (believed to be Burlington, Racine, Wisconsin from 1860 Census), the son of Thomas Haigh and Charity (Cox) Haigh. His mother died April 1861. His father married again to Elizabeth (Marshall) Hinchcliff. His parents and step-mother are buried in English Settlement Cemetery, Burlington, Racine, Wisconsin.

His step-sister Annie (Haigh) Noble…Mrs. Joseph Henry Noble is also buried in the Riverside Cemetery.
