ST. ANSGAR WOMAN DIES; RITES THURSDAY

St. Ansgar – Mrs. Helena Mielke, 73, died Monday following an attack of pneumonia at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ervin Albrecht, with whom she had made her home for the past year.

Mrs. Mielke was born on a farm west of St. Ansgar and with the exception of 14 years lived in Wisconsin, she lived her entire life in St. Ansgar and vicinity.

Surviving are three children; Mrs. Ervin Albrecht, St. Ansgar; E. H. Mielke, Wheaton, Minnesota; and Clarence of Independence; also three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Immanuel’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Rev. E. H. Yohn officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel’s Lutheran Cemetery south of St. Ansgar.

Helena Rosenberg was born July 4, 1872 in Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of August Rosenberg and Wilhelmina (Schmidt) Rosenberg. She married Henry G. Mielke, the son of Ludwig Mielke and Louise (Bartz) Mielke.
