DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Jodie C. Williams, 71, died at a hospital at Hanford, California, June 26, 1944, according to word received by Osage friends of the family. Mr. Williams was born in this county and lived here until about 25 years ago. The farm on which he and his family spent many years is located seven miles southeast of Osage and is now owned by Mike Berg.

Mr. Williams' wife was before her marriage, Laura Clark, also a former Osager. She died 20 years ago. Since that time Mr. Williams had made his home with his son, Robert.

He is survived by the following children besides Robert, all in California: Evress of Armona; Mrs. Mayette Bartlett, Lemoore and Mrs. Bride Archer, Kerman. Thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral service was held at the chapel of the People's undertaking parlors at Hanford, with the Rev. L. Fletcher of Lemoore officiating. Interment was in Grangeville cemetery.
