Edward Fitzgerald, 61, died February 18, 1984, at Van Nuys, California following a year-long illnes with cancer. A memorial service was held at Praisewater Funeral Chapel, Van Nuys on February 21. Rev. George McGraw of Panorama City Presbyterian Church officiated.

Fitzgerald was born in Carroll and at two and one half months was adopted by Thomas and Nora Fitzgerald of Alvord. He graduated from Alvord High School in 1939 and moved to Burbank, Calif. He served in the Navy in World War II in the Pacific and also in the Air Force during the Korean War.

He married Betty Fuller of Osage in 1953.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; two daughters, Jill and Lisa, all of Northridge, Calif. and a sister, Mary.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.
