Funeral services were held at Champion Funeral Home, Osage, on Thursday, March 8 at 3:30 p.m. for Mrs. William (Virginia H.) Callaway, age 91, of Osage. Rev. K. Hejnal officiated at the service with burial in the Osage Cemetery. She died on Monday, March 6, 1984, at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Virginia H. Callaway was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on February 6, 1893, the daughter of Arthur M. and Virginia Bradford Higgins.

She was united in marriage to William L. Callaway on July 24, 1915 in Excelsior, Minnesota.

She was active in the United Church of Christ and was a past president of P.E.O.

Survivors include a daughter, Virginia B. Lenahan of Osage; a son, William R. Callaway of Spring Valley, Minnesota; three grandsons and two great-grandchildren.
