MRS. J. McNULTY
DIED SATURDAY,
HAD LONG ILLNESS

Came to Mitchell County at
Age 2 and Spent Rest
of Life Here.

Mrs. John McNulty passed away at her home in the Fourth ward, Osage, at 3 o'clock Saturday morning, after an illness of several years. Mrs. McNulty's health began to fail several years ago, and for the past several months she had been confined to her home.

Mary Ann Elizabeth Fesenmeyer was born March 20, 1865, in Chickasaw county, Iowa, and at the age of two years was brought by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Fesenmeyer, to Mitchell county, where the remainder of her life was spent.

The parental home was established on a farm near Brownville, and she was married there July 26, 1887, to John McNulty. They bought a farm southwest of McIntire, where they resided until 1921 when they retired from farming and moved to Osage.

To them were born three children: Mark, now of Des Moines; Lorin, who died in 1920; and Mrs. Oliver Christiansen (Marjory), of Seattle, Wash.

Mrs. McNulty had a wide acquaintance over the county, and all who knew her loved her for her kind, affectionate nature, and admired the efficiency with which she did her home work and whatever community work she was engaged in.

Funeral services were held on Monday at the Champion funeral home, Dr. Gilbert Chalice, pastor of the Osage Methodist church, officiating, and burial was made in the Riceville cemetery beside her son and her grandson, Donald McNulty, who passed away a year ago.

Relatives from a distance present at the funeral were Mrs. John McDonald, River Forest (a suburb of Chicago); Dr. Arthur Blim, Chicago, and Atty. Henry Blim, Chicago, a niece and nephew to Mr. McNulty, Albert Fesenmeyer, St. Paul, brother to the deceased; the Mark McNulty family of Des Moines.
