Johan (John) Andrew Christianson was born either October or November 27, 1876 to Andrew Christianson and Johanna (Jennie) Pedersdatter. His draft registration says October 27th, the Rock Creek Lutheran Church cemetery record says November.

Found Johan in the 1885 census living at Rock township, Mitchell County, Iowa:
Andrew Christianson 42, Jennie (Agnes) Christianson 45, Peter Christianson 20, Ole Christianson 13, John Christianson 8, Andrew Christianson 6, Theodore Christianson 3, Julia Gilbertson 73.

Johann married Agnes Agnette Johanson (Johansdatter) on May 4, 1902, at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. The couple had three children, a girl Ina and two boys, Alvin and Glen. John was a farmer.

John Andrew Christianson died September 22, 1932 at Cedar, Mitchell County, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
