Funeral services for Douglas R. Parr, 46, of Fremont, who died Thursday, will be held at the Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd, at noon tomorrow,

A native of Iowa, he was a member of the Forty Thieves Golf Club, International Typographical Unions o. 36 of Oakland, and No. 21 of San Francisco, American Legion of Iowa, VFW of Iowa and formerly a member of the Iowa Junior Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alice A. Parr of Fremont; a brother; Charles Parr of Iowa; and a sister, Gloria Rice of Iowa.

Burial will be in McIntire, Iowa.

Douglas Ronald Parr was born August 31, 1929 in Mitchell County Iowa, the son of David Parr and Ada (Griffin) Parr.

His first wife was Betty Doreen Fuller, the daughter of George Fuller and Elsie (Taylor) Fuller of Osage. They were married June 9, 1951. (Globe Gazette , June 12, 1951 marriage announcement.

His 2nd wife was Alice A. (maiden name unknown), She was born January 4, 1934 and died February 25, 1998 Fremont, California
