OSAGE, IOWA — Services for Hazel A. Carrison, 82, who died Friday night at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage, will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church in Osage; burial in Osage Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, June Metz of Osage; a son, William D. Clyde of Providence, Rhode Island; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren;
Friends may call Monday at Champion Funeral Home in Osage.

#2:Hazel Carrison died on Friday, April 13, 1984 in Osage. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 17, 1984, at the United Methodist Church in Osage, with Rev. J. Pittman officiating. Burial was in the Osage Cemetery.
Hazel Adaline Moody was born November 30, 1901, on the Moody farm north of Osage, the daughter of Ida Jane Burroughs and William H. Moody. She attended school here, graduating from Osage High School and the Cedar Valley Seminary.
Hazel taught at Burr Oak rural school before her marriage to Dale Clyde, June 7, 1923. To this union three children were born, Ralph, now deceased, June and William. She later taught at Meroa and Osage Washington Elementary.
She was married to Clinton Carrison in 1943, and after his death she owned and operated the Carrison Rest home in Osage.
Hazel was active in her church and at the time of her death was the oldest continuous member of the Osage United Methodist Church. She was also a 62 year member of the Rebekah Lodge and was Past Noble Grand of the Rebekas.
Hazel is survived by her son, Bill Clyde of Providence, R.I.; and daughter, Mrs. John (June) Metz of Osage; four granddaughters: Laurel Rippa, Karen Lilledahl, Tamera Washington, and Elaine Clyde; four grandsons: John Metz III, Michael Metz, Shane Metz, and Logan Metz. She has nine great-grandchildren.

Hazel's first husband was Dale Benjamin Clyde born May 31, 1886 in Iowa.
They had three children: Ralph, who died at the age of 5; June, who married John Metz; and William D. Clyde who was born July 19, 1932.
Her second husband was Clinton Carrison.

CASE DISMISSED
Osage, Iowa -- The case of Hazel Clyde-Carrison vs. the Homesteader Life Insurance Co., to have been tried this week, was dismissed. Dale Clyde, former husband of the plaintiff, left Osage about eight years ago and has not been heard of since by his former wife. The suit was to collect his insurance with the Homesteader Life Insurance company.[ Waterloo Courier, June 1, 1945 ]
