Osoff Erickson, whose illness we have noted from time to time, died Monday evening at six o'clock from consumption. He was twenty years and seven months of age and has been blind since a child one month old. Although deprived of his sight he would travel about town and scarcely ever lose his way. He was a general favorite among the young people and the news of his death caused a feeling of sadness in many of our homes.

Deceased has been attending the Vinton school for the blind for about ten years, and was well educated in the branches of study taught there. He returned home last spring on account of sickness and his relatives were surprised upon being informed by the attending physician that the young man had fallen a victim to that ever fatal disease consumption.

Day by day, week by week, and month by month, he gradually failed until Monday evening when death ended all. Mr. Erickson was conscious till the last and gave instructions to be carried out after his death.

The funeral services were held at the Norwegian Lutheran church at 9 o'clock this morning and the remains were interred in the cemetery north of town.
