John Knutson Aldal, one of the oldest inhabitants of this township, died last Monday, of consumption. The deceased was a man highly respected by his neighbors, and enjoyed the confidence of the entire community in which he lived. Some three years ago he became troubled with a throat difficulty, and being deluded into the belief that he had a good knowledge of his disease, he refused to seek medical aid, but continued on as his own doctor. The results proved fatal. After this disease had become fairly settled on him and could not be checked it soon brought on consumption from which he suffered about two years, when Death claimed him as its victim.

He leaves a wife and a family of grown up children to mourn his departure. He had accumulated about him a vast amount of worldly possessions, and a short time ago made a will as to how it should be distributed after his death.

The funeral services wil be held in the Norwegian Lutheran Church tomorrow.
