OSAGE, IOWA — Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. for Iver Rossum at Immanuel Lutheran Church here. The Rev. Marcus Reitz will officiate. Burial will be in First Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar.
Rossum, 85, died Sunday at Osage. He had been a resident here 79 years. The son of Torger and Martha Rossum, he was born in Norway. He was married to Ida Ask in June 1908. They farmed until retiring to Osage in 1941.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Orland, Osage; a grandson; a brother, Anton, Mason City; and three sisters: Mrs. Lizzie Harding, Oelwein; Mrs. Tillie Helm, Plymouth; and Mrs. Marie Ask, Osage.

Funeral services were held for Iver Rossum, 85, of Osage, who died at the Mitchell County Memorial hospital, August 29, 1964. Mr. Rossum, ill about one year, had been hospitalized since last Friday.
The Rev. Marcus Reitz, pastor, was in charge of the services at Immanuel Lutheran church in Osage. C.R. Champion and Sons were in charge of arrangements and burial was at First Lutheran cemetery in St. Ansgar.
Iver Rossum was born November 16, 1878, in Gran Hadeland, Norway, the son of Torger and Martha Bentestuen Rossum. He was baptized in Norway.
Accompanying his parents to the rural Osage area at the age of six years, he was confirmed by the Rev. Johann Olsen, at Rock Creek Lutheran church. He attended the rural schools and St. Ansgar seminary.
His marriage to Ida Ask took place June 10, 1908. They farmed west of Osage until moving to their home here in 1941. He was employed by the Oliver Corporation in Charles City, and at the Osage Farmers National bank for a short time until his health failed, forcing his complete retirement.
Mr. Rossum is survived by his wife, Ida; one son, Orland, rural Osage; one grandson; three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Harding of Oelwein, Mrs. Tillie Helm of Plymouth, and Mrs. Marie Ask of Osage, and one brother, Anton Rossum of Mason City.
His parents and one brother, Lars, preceded him in death.
