Funeral services for Malinda Clara Anna Trettin, 94, who died March 11, 1996, were held March 13 at the St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville, with the Rev. Dr. David H. Palm officiating.
Malinda Clara Anna Trettin was born November 9, 1901 to J. Wm. Trettin and Lydia nee Walk in Worth County. She was baptized December 8, 1901 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, by the Rev. John Landeck. She was confirmed April 16, 1916.
Malinda married Frederick Tesch September 5, 1922 at Grafton. They moved to a farm south of Lyle, Minnesota, where they lived for almost 55 years. She served as secretary and president of the Ladies Aid for 16 years at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville. Fred and Malinda celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary September 5, 1982. They retired to St. Ansgar July 1, 1977. Fred died February 12, 1983. Malinda enjoyed working with flowers, gardening and doing handwork, crocheting, knitting and quilting.
Malinda is survived by three sisters-in-law, Orpha Trettin, Carpenter, Dorothy Trettin of Mason City, and Ethel Tesch, Carpenter; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter, her parents, two brothers and a sister.
Burial was in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery.

Death: Mar. 11, 1996ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Malinda Tesch, 94, of St. Ansgar, died Monday, March 11, 1996, at the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville, with the Rev. David Palm officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery, Toeterville.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar.
Malinda Tesch was born Nov. 9, 1901, in Worth County, Iowa.
Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Orpha Trettin of Grafton, Dorothy Trettin of Mason City and Ethel Tesch of Carpenter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by his parents, husband, one infant daughter, two brothers and one sister.
