Memorial services for Merlyn G. Hansen, 59, of St. Ansgar, who died March 15, 1991 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Mason City, Iowa, will be held March 23 at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home. His body was donated to the University of Iowa.

Merlyn was born May 16, 1931, in Oxford, Iowa, to Oscar and Mary Hansen. He was a business machine repairman.

Survivors include four sons, Michael of Lawton, Oklahoma; Timothy, Plymouth, Minnesota; Noel of Van Horne; and Eric of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one daughter, Debra Draper of Iowa City, and a step daughter, Glenna Atkins of Mason City; three grandsons and two granddaughters; two brothers, Homer and Arthur, Iowa City; five sisters, Glee McWilliams of Montrose, California, Fern Potratz and Elnora Farnsworth of Iowa City, Lauretta Wilkenson of Lemon Grove, California, and Darlene Davids of Bend, Oregon; and special friend, Janice Kirchgatter, St. Ansgar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Mary Hansen, and one granddaughter.

Private burial will be at a later date.
