Andrew Olsen, of whom we made a brief mention last week as being dangerously ill, died Saturday morning about 6 o'clock; aged 31 years, 3 months and 11 days. Mr. Olsen came to this place three years ago from Iowa county, Wisconsin. He was a young man of good habits, steady, industrious, and by his upright conduct gained many warm friends, especially among the young men with whom he associated. His illness was of but a brief duration.

He was engaged at farm work, and on May 23rd he returned to town complaining that he was suffering from a severe cold. His condition was not considered of a serious nature until Wednesday morning of last week when he lost his sense of speech, resulting from a paralytic stroke which it is believed was caused by the bursting of an artery. He remained in an unconscious state from that time until Saturday morning when death releaved him of his sufferings.

The funeral services were held at the Norwegian Lutheran Church Monday afternoon, Rev. Olsen officating. A large concourse of sympathizing friends were present to pay their last respects to the memory of one who but a few days before was the perfect picture of health and happiness.

After the services the procession moved to the Lutheran cemetery where all that is mortal of Andrew Olsen now rests in peace.
