Clarence Bakkum was a life long resident of Mitchell, Iowa. His last few years of life were spent at the Osage Nursing Home where he resided.

Clarence worked for area farmers and was very musical. He often played the violin with local bands at various functions in the area.

He was never married and has no known children. Clarence passed away at 78 years of age.

His parents were Gulbrand O. Bakkum (1874-1938) and Julia Pederson Bakkum (1880-1957)

He was born February 11, 1913 and died October 8, 1991. He is buried at the First Lutheran cemetery, St. Ansgar, Iowa.
