Funeral services for Myrtle M. Rust, 93, of rural St. Ansgar, Iowa, who died Sunday, March 3, 1991 at the Good Samaritan Center, St. Ansgar, were held Wednesday, March 6 at the United Methodist Church, St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Robert Lemmermann officiating.

Mrs. Rust was born October 4, 1897, near Osage, to Adolph and Katie Miller Hansen. She attended Pleasant Valley rural schools, graduated from Osage High School and one year at State Teachers College at Cedar Falls. She taught two years in rural schools.

Myrtle married Gilmore Rust on June 19, 1920 at her parents home near Osage. They lived on a farm north of St. Ansgar.

She was a life long member of the Methodist Church and held various church offices. She was a member of the Garden Club for many years.

Myrtle is survived by one son, Allen of St. Ansgar; one daughter, Mrs. Joe (Katherine) Bullis of Osage; six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Gene and Charles, and one granddaughter.

Burial was in the First Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar.
