Phil Schwab, 68, of Osage, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with Father Jack McClure, CPPS officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with a time of remembrance service at 8:00 p.m.

Phil was born March 13, 1943, the son of Alex and Anna (Kloberdanz) Schwab. He enjoyed fishing, watching the Green Bay Packers and watching his boys wrestle.

Phil is survived by his children, Michael (Kate) Schwab, and their children, Jacob, Morgan and Andrew of Cedar Falls; Mark (Penny) Schwab of Shell Rock; Julie (Jay) Marley, and their children McKenzy, Avery and Fischer of Osage; Doug (Allyson) Schwab, and their children, Hayden and Hendrix of Cedar Falls; a brother, Paul Schwab, of Osage; Sue Schwab, of Osage; a sister-in-law, Elaine Schwab; and two nieces, Kristy Miller and Jessica Balsley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Ronald.
