JOHN P. RANDALL, 83,
NORTH IOWA BUILDER,
DIED HERE SUNDAYJohn P. Randall, 83, veteran North Iowa masonry contractor and builder, died at the home of his son, Roy, in Osage on Sunday. He had been a frequent vistor in Osage and was well known here.
Mr. Randall suffered a heart attack some time ago and died in his sleep.
Mr. Randall was born in Grant county, Wisconsin, and came to Mason City in a covered wagon in 1871. In 1876 he moved to Sheffield, where he made his home and raised a family of ten children. In recent years he had lived for short times with his children, spending much of his time in Osage with his son, Roy.
Following the building trades all of his life, Mr. Randall was an expert plasterer and brick mason.
