Frances Reed of Greeley, Colorado, had married Stanley Edwin Godfrey (1903-1975) in June 1955. They lived a couple of winters in Greeley. Frances retired from teaching in Colorado and they returned to Iowa, moving to the family farm where they lived until they moved to their new home at 814 Walnut, Osage, in 1967.
Frances was a Regent of Lucretia Deering Chapter of D.A.R., Worthy Matron of Eastern Star, and a member of the Congregational Church. Frances prepared all the paperwork to obtain a grant for the Osage Senior Center, 615 State, which was matched by the Seniors of Osage.
Frances passed away on May 29, 1979. Her husband, Stanley passed away on September 25, 1975. Both are buried in the Osage City Cemetery.
