Osage – Mrs. George Westlake, 77, formerly of Osage, died December 4th at San Diego, California.

Nee Mary Louise Gardner, she was born at Spring Grove, Illinois on April 2, 1871 to Harry and Mary (Phillips) Gardner. She lived near Stacyville, Osage, and Titonka before going to California. She was a member of PEO.

She leaves her husband, two daughters, three grandchildren, two brothers; Charles Gardner, Dallas, Texas; and Burt Gardner, Murphys, California; two sisters; Mrs. J. T. (Clara) Johnson and Mrs. Dwight (Bessie)Fobes, both of Inglewood, California.

Preceding her was her brother, Frank, former hardware merchant in Osage.
