Obituary:
Norma Jean Foster, 55, of Riceville, Iowa, died on Monday November 7, 2011, at her home south of Riceville, after a courageous 2-year battle with cancer. Family surrounded Norma at her time of passing.

Norma Jean Ruroden was born July 20, 1956, at the Palmer Memorial Hospital in West Union, Iowa, to Floyd and Avis (Musser) Ruroden. She was baptized at the Bethel Presbyterian Church in West Union. She received her confirmation at the Stavanger Lutheran Church, rural Ossian. She attended grade schools in West Union and Clermont. And attended high school at South Winneshiek in Calmar. Norma married David Kulish, on January 11, 1975. To this union three children were born. They resided in the McIntire and Riceville area. Her first husband David passed away in 1992, from injuries sustained in a car accident. Norma married Dean Foster on July 20, 2001.

Norma had been employed for a number of years by Featherlite in Cresco. Her hobbies included gardening, shopping, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Norma is survived by her mother Avis Ruroden; husband of 10 years, Dean; her three children Jason Kulish daughter Jade, Amy Duncomb daughter and son Kelsey Jean and Kyle, and Jennifer Kulish son Jude Kulow; four step children Chad (Heather) Foster children Katelyn, Christen, Jacob, Stephanie (Troy) Scholbrock children Mackenzie, Delaney, Saydey, Todd (Amanda) Foster children Jaden and Jag, Stacey (Brad) Losee children Judge and Lawson; four brothers Robert (Dixie) Ruroden, Larry (Beth) Ruroden, Danny Ruroden and friend Jodi, Micheal (Teresa) Ruroden; four sisters Connie (Chris) Bunch, Debra Kilcoyne husband Jerry Nagel, Gail Panos, Sheila McKenna as well as many more close relatives and close friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband David Kulish, father and his mother Genevieve Kulish, father Floyd Ruroden, mother and father-in-law Loyd and Geraldine Foster, paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents, two nephews and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2011, from 4 to 7 PM, at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 10, 2011, at the St. Paul's Maple Leaf Lutheran Church in rural Elma.

Inurnment will take place in the Riverside Cemetery in Riceville.
