HERMAN HECKSTEIN, 65, IS BURIED IN ITCHELL

Mitchell, July 22. – Herman Heckstein, 65, who died Saturday at his home in East Mitchell of cancer of the liver, was buried after services at the Community Church here today.

The funeral was conducted by the Rev. A. M. Lott and burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Herman Heckstein was born May 16, 1867 in Germany, the son of Wilhelm Heckstein and Christine (Barger) Heckstein. He married Minnie Gottschalk, the daughter of August Gottschalk and Florentine (Schloesser) Gottschalk. (Their parents’ names are from 1925 Iowa Census Mitchell, Mitchell, Iowa)
