Charles E. Bower -- July 21, 1888 – October 28, 1964
C. E. BOWER SERVICES TO BE SATURDAY
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the McAuley-Bremer Chapel for Charles E. Bower, 76, who died Wednesday at the Good Samaritan Home where he had resided the last nine years.
Committal service will be at 11:30 a.m. at the Osage Cemetery.
The Rev. Donald Severson, Good Samaritan Home Chaplain, will officiate. Mr. R. E. Patton will be organist.
Mr. Bower was a farmer in Mitchell County before retirement and moving to Mason City. He lived at 306 ½ S. Federal before going to the Good Samaritan Home.
He was born July 21, 1888, at Williamsport, Pennsylvania, the son of Adolph and Tamson Boughter Bower.
He is survived by five sons, Godfrey, Seattle, Washington; Dean, Omaha; Dale, Denver, Colorado; and Herbert and Glenn both of San Diego, California; two daughters; Mrs. Aaron (Margaret) Hoel; and Mrs. Kenneth (Phyllis) Despart, both of Rockford, Illinois; and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, a sister, and a brother.
