GEORGE E. WALLACE – July 6, 1895 – September 9, 1950
George E. Wallace, 55, of 401 Rath Street, died at 7:07 p.m. yesterday at his home, of carcinoma.
He was born July 6, 1895, at Osage, Iowa, the son of Clark and Lily (Aldrich) Wallace, and came to Waterloo as a young boy.
On September 12, 1914, he married Hazel Kern. Mr. Wallace had been employed at the Rath Packing Co.
Survivors include his wife, one son, Laverne, Cedar Falls, one daughter; Mrs. Vern Gaede, 1907 Commercial Street; three grandchildren, four brothers; Albert, Janesville; Harry, Riceville; Jasper, Waterloo; and Forest, route 5, Waterloo; and two sisters; Mrs. M. A. Dickinson, 321 East Seventh Street; and Mrs. George DuShane, Eugene, Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and twin sons.
The body is at Kearns Garden Chapel where funeral arrangements are incomplete.Waterloo Courier, Sunday September 10, 1950
