M. B. Anderson Died
Suddenly Sunday;
Services Tuesday

Funeral services for M. B. Anderson, 42, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Osage Lutheran church with the Reverend T. P. Solem officiating. Burial was made in the Osage Cemetery. Mr. Anderson died suddenly Sunday morning at his home of a heart attack. He had suffered light attacks the last two weeks and had not been well Saturday evening, but he had no serious illness.

Mervin Bernhard Anderson was born March 12, 1906, in Deer Creek Township, Worth County, the son of Martin and Bertina Anderson. he was baptized in the South Deer Creek church April 12, 1906, by the Reverend O. T. Lee and was confirmed July 18, 1920 in the Shell Rock congregation by the Reverend A. J. Torgerson.

June 17, 1931, he was united in marriage to Clare Dodge of Northwood, at the Little Brown Church at Nashua.

Shortly after their marriage the Andersons moved to Osage when he was employed by the Johnson Plumbing and Heating Company for 12 years. During the war he became sheet-metal foreman for the Maritime Commission in San Francisco, California.

At the end of the war he returned to Osage where he set up his own business under the firm name of Anderson Service Company. In 1948 he opened a branch in St. Ansgar.

Surviving are his wife, parents and two brothers, Burnett and Clarence, of Northwood.

In the 1925 census for Northwood, Worth, Iowa, his name is "Mervin," and his parents are given as Martin Anderson and Bertina "Holm."
