ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Services for Mrs. Marie Quindt, 87, who died Saturday at the Good Samaritan home, were at 2:39 p.m. Monday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include four daughters: Mrs. John Prehodz of Ellendale, Minnesota; Mrs. Mollie Holm of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Mrs. Viola Grinnen, and Mrs. Ruth Holm, both of Fairbault, four sons: Herman of St. Paul, Minnesota, Harvey of Grinnell, Robert of Mitchell and Lyle of Seattle, Washington; 36 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Marie Quindt Funeral
Held Immanuel Lutheran

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie B. Quindt, 88, who died at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center Friday, June 6, were held on Monday, June 9 at Immanuel Lutheran church with the Rev. N.E. Betke officiating.

Marie Bay Quindt was born on June 17, 1881 in Russia, daughter of Andrew & Marie Bay. She was baptized and confirmed in Russia. She was married to Alexander Quindt March 25, 1901. They emigrated to America in May of 1903 and settled in Mountain Lake, Minn. They moved to St. Ansgar in 1923.

Eleven children were born to this union, eight of whom survive. Mrs. Quindt moved to St. Paul in 1950 and made her home with her daughters, Mrs. Art Holm and Mrs. Don Holm. She returned to St. Ansgar in 1967 & resided at the Good Samaritan Center. At that time she again became a member of Immanuel Lutheran church. Mrs. Quindt was preceded in death by her husband and three daughters, Maria, Alvina and Martha.

She is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth, Amelia, Viola & Ruth; four sons, Herman, Robert and Harvey and Lyle; 36 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Interment was in the St. Ansgar cemetery with Rev. Betke in charge of the committal service.
