Gordon Schreiber 1904-1983

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 4, 1983. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Riceville, for Gordon, Schreiber, 78, who passed away on January 1, 1983, from a stroke. Mr. Schreiber died enroute to Osage. Rev. B. Hinrichs was in charge of the services.

Gordon Schreiber was born on August 17, 1904, in Charles City, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Schreiber. He spent his life in this area, farming 1 1/2 miles south of the Elma blacktop on the county line.

On December 29, 1932, he was united in marriage to Henrietta Myers. Mrs. Schreiber passed away in April 1979.

He is survived by two brothers, Alton, Osseo, Minnesota, and Bill, Park Rapids, Minnesota; and one sister, Lois Nehls, Sullivan, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one brother, Elmer; and by two sisters, Doris and Norma.

Interment was in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery with the Conway Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
