Emma Kapka was the fourth child of Fredrick William and Lizette Louise Neels Kapka. She was born on August 14, 1884.

Emma died on February 5, 1903, of brain fever or diptheria. She was 17 years, 5 months and 19 days old.

Services were conducted by Rev. M. Brueggemann. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery south of Riceville.

Emma's brothers and sisters include: Herman, William, Robert, Charley, Minnie, Walter, George, Julius, Elsie, Anna, and Martin.
