JAMES SUMPTER DIES; RITES AT RICEVILLE

Riceville – James Sumpter, 49, died Saturday at the Riceville Hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church here. The Rev. Robert Leverenz will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Born in Jamestown Township, Howard County, he had lived in Cedar Falls and Burkesville, Ky.
His father, Orson J. Sumpter, died in 1932.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Nellie Perry, Riceville, and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, Burkesville, Ky.
