FOX, Peter J. 1934-1987

Funeral services were held THursday, January 22, 1987 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in New Haven, Iowa, for Peter J. Fox, 52, formerly of the Mitchell County area. Father J. Carpender and Father C. Manternach concelebrated the mass and burial was in St. Peter's Church Cemetery. Mr. Fox died Sunday, January 18, 1987 at his home in Des Moines, of natural causes.

He was born on July 2, 1934 in Osage, the son of Herbert and Marie (Carroll) Fox. He attended New Haven schools and graduated from Osage High School in 1953.

He received his law degree from Drake University law School in Des Moines in 1963. He was admitted to the bar in 1963 and that year began working for the state division of Inspection and Appeals. He was also president of the Hearing Officer's Association.

Survivors include his mother, Marie Fox of Osage; two sisters, Eileen Theresa Fox of Des Moines, and Charlotte Bridget Pitzen of Stacyville and four nephews.
