RICEVILLE FARMER DIES AT HOME; RITES FRIDAY

Riceville – Julius Kapka, 67, a farmer southeast of Riceville, died Monday at his home.
Funeral services were held Friday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Elma, with Conway Funeral Home in charge.

Surviving are his wife, two sons; LaVern and Orville, at home; three daughters; Mrs. Ben Myers, Riceville; Mrs. Gilbert Gesell, Elma; Mrs. Donald Kruger, Elma; and a sister; Mrs. Frank Reckner, Riceville.

Mr. and Mrs. Kapka had recently purchased a home in Riceville and were preparing to move into town.

Julius E Kapka was born July 22, 1892 in Riceville, Iowa, the son of William Frederick Kapka and Elizabeth (Neals) Kapka. He married Gertrude Lubbert, the daughter of Louis Lubbert and Wilhelmine (Buss) Kapka.

Julius and Gertrude are buried in the Riverside Cemetery, Riceville, Iowa
