Merle (Fish) Smith 1892-1954

RITES AT OSAGE FOR FARM WOMAN

Osage – Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Smith, 61, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home with burial in the Osage Cemetery. She died Sunday morning at her home east of Osage. Death was due to a heart attack.

Ms. Smith was born Merle Fish, daughter of Charles and Rosa Fish near Madison, Wisconsin, August 25, 1892.

As a small child she accompanied her parents to a farm near Osage where they since lived. She was married to Frank W. Smith in 1937 and the couple resided on the home farm.

Survivors include her husband and one brother, Roy J. Fish of Burbank, California.
