FORSLUND OF OSAGE KILLED IN ILLINOIS AUTO ACCIDENT
THREE OTHERS ARE ALSO HURT
WIFE AND MR. AND MRS. ED HEMANN SUFFER INJURIES IN MISHAPOsage, Sept. 21 – Odell Forslund received a message late Thursday that his father, John Forslund, was killed and his mother seriously injured in an accident at Rockford, Illinois.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hemann, also of Osage, were injured but not seriously in the accident. The group was on the way to the World’s Fair in Chicago when the accident occurred.
Mrs. Forslund was most seriously injured. Odell left with the Champion ambulance and hearse, and will return with the body of his father and the injured persons, arriving late roday.
Mr. Forslund, 58, operated a restaurant and pool hall in the basement of the Cleveland Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. Forslund came to Osage after living awhile in Milwaukee, where they were married. Mrs. Forslund was Olina Churness of Ferryville, Wisconsin, before her marriage.
Besides his wife, Mr. Forslund is survived by two children; Odell, recent graduate of Luther College, and Jeannette, who was graduated from high school last year and is now a student at St. Olaf College. Both the children are outstanding in music and Odell directed the high school orchestra when the director, Bruce Lyebarger, was in the hospital.
Also surviving are two sisters; Mrs. Ellen Julian; and Miss Edith Forslund of Stockholm, a brother; Richard of Hammond, Minnesota; Erick of Lacrosse, Wisconsin; and Elmer of Stockholm.
Mr. Hemann is a cream truck driver.

FORSLUND, 58, CAR CRASH VICTIM, BURIED AT OSAGEOsage, Sept 24 – Funeral services for John Forslund, 58, were held at Osage Lutheran Church Sunday afternoon in charge of the Rev. t. P. Solem and burial made at Osage Cemetery.
Mr. Forslund was killed late Thursday when the auto he was driving accidentally overturned near Rockford, Illinois.
