DIES IN ARIZONA

Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Charles Burtch on March 28, 1981, at the home of her daughter, Dorothy Anderson, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Ruth Forward was born on September 10, 1894 in Edgewood, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph W. and Anna Forward. She was a graduate of Coe College at Cedar Rapids, and taught school in eastern Iowa until her marriage on December 22, 1923 to Charles Burtch of Osage. She was a member of the Edgewood Methodist Church, and was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Avalon Chapter No. 434 at Edgewood.

Three daughters survive: Dorothy Anderson of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Barbara Oxenford of Castle Rock, Colorado, and Elizabeth Lothringer of LeMesa, California.

Her husband, Charles, and a sister, Jennie L. Forward, both preceded her in death in 1972.

There was cremation, and burial will be in the Osage Cemetery at a later date. A notice of graveside services will be published at that time.

Ruth Burtch Service Friday

A committal service of the remains of Ruth Forward Burtch (Mrs. Charles R.) will be conducted at the Osage Cemetery Friday, October 9. at 11 a.m.

The Reverend George Hope of the Baptist Church in Osage will officiate.

Mrs. Burtch died March 28, at Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
