Emma Margarete Karoline Dieterichs Morische

OBITUARY:

Funeral services were held on Thursday for Emma Margaret Morische, 89, of Osage, at St. John's Lutheran Church in rural Osage. The Vicar Mitchel Schuessler officiated. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Township. She died on Monday, December 2, 1985, at an Osage nursing home.

She was born on February 13, 1896 in Floyd, Iowa, the daughter of Frederick H. and Anna (Hartwig) Dieterichs. She was educated in the Floyd County rural schools.

On February 19, 1925, she was united in marriage to John H. Morische at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cedar Township. They farmed in Rock Township, Floyd County from 1925-1936. They moved to a farm in Cedar Township in Mitchell County and lived there until 1940. They then lived on a farm in Rudd Township in Floyd County. She lived there until 1981 when she moved to Faith Home.

Mrs. Morische was preceded in death by her husband, John, who died in 1958; her parents; three brothers: Herman, George and Alvin Dieterich; and five sisters: Clara Troge, Delia Dieterich, Wilhelmina Dieterich, and twin infant sisters.

Survivors include one son, Vern of rural Rudd; one daughter, Mrs. Loras Troge of Osage; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Anna E. Brandau of Osage.
