Funeral services for Mrs. Victor (Ruth) Dieterich, 72, of Osage, were held Friday, November 8, at St. John's Lutheran Church southwest of Osage.

She died on Tuesday, November 5, at Mitchell County Hospital. The Rev. Norman Betke of St. Ansgar and Vicar Mitchel Schuessler of St. John's Lutheran Church officiated and burial was in Calvary Cemetery of rural Osage.

She was born on May 18, 1913 near Orchard, the daughter of Carl and Trene (Sullend) Johnson. She attended Orchard area schools. Her family moved to Cedar Falls where she graduated from high school. She then attended and graduated from Upper Iowa University at Fayette.

She and Victor Dieterich were married on December 22, 1940. Mrs. Dieterich taught in the Osage school system for 27 years.

She is survived by her husband, Victor.

Ruth C Johnson was born May 18, 1913 at rural Floyd, Iowa to Carl Ole Johnson and Katrina (Trena) Sulland, the second of their three children.

1925: Carl O Johnson 50, Trana Johnson 44, Ray Barkhart 40, Margert Johnson 17, Ruth Johnson 11, Conrad Johnson 8.

Found in the 1930 census at Cedar Falls, Black Hawk, Iowa: Carl O Johnson 56, Trena Johnson 49, Margaret Johnson 23, Ruth Johnson 16, Conrad Johnson 13.

Married Victor Louis Dieterichs December 22, 1940 Iowa; no children.

Died November 5, 1985 Osage, Mitchell, Iowa. Buried at Calvary Cemetery, Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.
