Margaret May Swan, 67

Funeral services for Margaret May Swan, 67, were held on Thursday, November 14, 1985 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville, with Father J. Carpender officiating. Mrs. Swan died on Monday, November 11, 1985, at her home following an extended illness. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery.

Margaret was a retired postal clerk after more than 20 years working in the Riceville post office.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John, one brother and one sister.

She is survived by four brothers: Pete Anderson of Fort Dodge, Iowa, William Anderson of Waterloo, Iowa, and John and Edmund Anderson of Riceville.

Margaret May (Anderson) Swan was born May 23, 1918, the daughter of Andrew John Anderson and Anna Marie (Diederich) Anderson. She married John Russell Swan, the son of Guy and Willa Swan.
