WILLIAM KOGLE, 78, SUCCUMBS
William Kogle, 78, former Mason City plumber and contractor, died Friday morning after a lengthy illness. He had been a resident of the Cerro Gordo County home since June 24, 1944, and formerly lived at 510 5th S.W. Prior to that he lived in the St. Ansgar area.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at the McAuley and Son Funeral Home.
Mr. Kogle was born July 10, 1867 in New York. He came to Iowa as a young man, settling eventually in Mason City.
He is survived by 2 daughters; Mrs. Grace Adrian of Charles City; and Mrs. Evelyn Moeller of St. Ansgar; 2 sons, Sgt. John W. Kogle of the 5th air force, stationed in Japan; and S/Sgt. Lloyd E Kogle of the 334th engineering battalion, in France; a sister; Mrs. George Acquard of Buffalo, N.Y.; a brother, Albert Kogle of Batavia, N.Y., and 3 grandchildren, Michael abd Susan Moeller of St. Ansgar; and Anthony Adrian of Charles City.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bert Kogle, in 1930, and by his wife; Minnie Feldt Kogle, in 1940. The McAuley and Son Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.Mason City Globe Gazette, Friday October 26, 1945

Note* He was buried in the Elmwood Saint Joseph Cemetery, Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa where his first wife Mayfred Kogle and 4 children are buried; , John; Bert; and the triplett baby; and Mayfred (probably a daughter).
