CONDUCT LAST RITES FOR GEORGE B. LARSON
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for George Bernhardt Larson, 66, formerly of Osage, at the Champion Funeral Home. The Rev. Luther H. Berven officiated. Burial was in the Osage Cemetery. Mr. Larson died last Friday at Kansas City, Missouri.
He was born at Mona, July 18, 1887 to John and Martha Larson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith by the Rev. J. M. Eggen
Mr. Larson began working on the railroad with his father at Lyle at the age of 16. He moved to Osage in 1910. On December 11, 1912, he was married to the former Fern Van Kirk of Swaledale. Four children were born to this union.
Mr. Larson is survived by his wife; two sons; Kenneth of Globe, Arizona; and Stanley of San Diego, California; one daughter; LaVonne (Mrs. Kenneth Rucker) of Newton; four grandchildren; one brother; Alfred of Mona; two sisters; Mrs. Peter Nelson of Lyle and Mrs. Newton Bigelow of Austin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; Emma (Mrs. Oliver Dock) and Henrietta (Mrs. Carl Peterson); two brothers; Ole and Lewis; and a son who died in infancy.
