The family of B. C. Joy received sad news of the death of Mrs. Chas. Joy at Huron S. D., The lady is remembered here as Emma Stockwell and in former years took an active part in church work in our town.

She was for years a member of the West Mitchell Baptist church and for some time the church organist. Her death which was caused by cancerous tumor was not unexpected as she had been quite low for several months.

She bore her suffering with true Christian fortitude and the cheerful spirit she possessed was with her to the last. She leaves a husband and four children who have the sympathy of the community in their great loss.
