CARL MOEN FUNERAL IS HELD AT DEER CREEK

CARPENTER, IOWA – Funeral services for Carl Moen, 37, who died Thursday, were held at Deer Creek N. L. church Saturday with the Rev. Olaf Langehough in charge.

The mixed quartet sang two selections.

Burial was at the cemetery adjoining the church.

Mr. Moen is survived by his wife and two young sons, his parents, Mr. and Mrs Ole Moen, four sisters and three brothers.

Carl Moen was born June 13, 1898 in Iowa, the son of Ole and Rose Moen. He married Sylvia Anne Smith, the daughter of Clinton Wilson Smith and Amanda Emma (Kanke) Smith.

Carl died on July 30, 1936 in Hennepin County, Minnesota.

After Carl’s death, his wife Sylvia married Albert Edgar Brunsvold. He died May 5, 1965.
Sylvia is buried in the Deer Creek Cemetery, Mitchell Co., Iowa
