Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 29, 1985, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manly for Blanche Martha Grandpre, 72, who died Wednesday, June 26, 1985. Father Joseph Slepicka officiated and burial was in the Sacred Heart Catholic cemetery in Manly. Boeke Funeral Home of Radcliffe was in charge of arrangements.

Blanche M. Grandpre was born on November 20, 1912 in Lincoln Township, Orchard, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer J. and Susie (Weber) Burch. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith and was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church. She attended Osage High School.

On July 14, 1930, Blanche and Martin L. Grandpre were united in marriage in St. Paul, Minnesota. They were the parents of three daughters: Evangeline, Bonnie and Jeannine. Blanche and her husband worked in various locations and she also owned and operated a restaurant in the Waterloo area. She moved to Radcliffe in 1976.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin; her parents; one brother, Earl; two daughters, Bonnie and Jeannine; one grandson, James Isaac; and one great-granddaughter, Jamie Granzow; two sons-in-law, Birchard Isaac and Gordon Dodge.

She is survived by her daughter, Eva Pruhs and her husband Barton Pruhs, of Radcliffe; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandcildren; two sisters, Clarice Burch of Osage, and Lorraine Savage of Medford, Oregon.
