Richard ‘Dick’ Nicholson, 84, former Riceville resident, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 1985, at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Sumner. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 26 at Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Herschel Hawf officiated at the service with burial in the Riverside Cemetery.

He is survived by three nieces: Mrs. Dorothy Kiefer of Adams, Minnesota; Mrs. Raymond (Violet) Steffen of Orchard and Mrs. Ronald (Gloria) Dishinger of Riceville; and two nephews, Jim Nicolson and Richard Nicholson, both of Osage.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Nicholson.
